About The Position

As a Data Analyst, you will be working closely with a team, designers, a program manager, and engineers in an Agile environment. You are also responsible for developing data reports, gathering data, and supporting data integrations for the team. Collaborate with the engineering team to support workflows and application systems. This opportunity is a 4-month contract. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Nuvitek's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics in an agile environment
  • Strong experience creating and managing data dictionaries and data standards
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
  • Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and data mapping
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical data requirements
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience working with multiple systems and large datasets
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust (or higher) clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience in federal or regulated environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead data discovery and requirements gathering across systems and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data dictionaries, such as definitions, lineage, ownership, and standards, , building toward a unified enterprise data dictionary across systems
  • Analyze and map data across multiple systems to ensure consistency and interoperability across multiple authoritative source systems
  • Define data models, schemas, and data standards to support reporting and workflows
  • Translate business needs into data requirements, mappings, and transformation logic
  • Design and support data pipelines and integrations across platforms
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support operational and executive decision-making, including applicant/permittee and executive business intelligence dashboards with KPIs, built to Section 508 accessibility standards
  • Ensure data quality, validation rules, and governance standards are implemented
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data with workflow and application systems
  • Support documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria for data-related features
