Reporting to the Senior Manager of Organizational Assessment, the Data Analyst is responsible for data collection, formatting, reporting, analysis, and visualization of data pertaining to Queens Public Library’s services, programs, and population demographics. Queens Public Library is one of the largest and busiest public library systems in the United States, dedicated to serving the most ethnically and culturally diverse area in the country. With a presence in nearly every neighborhood across the borough of Queens, the Library consists of 66 locations, including branch libraries, a Central Library, adult learning centers, a technology lab at the Queensbridge public housing complex, a community learning center at the Ravenswood public housing complex, teen centers, bookmobiles, and book bicycles. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in transforming large and complex datasets into actionable insights and visualizations. The candidate will also have experience in data manipulation, analysis, and dashboard development, with abilities to communicate statistical findings to a non-technical audience. This position will contribute to QPL’s culture of data-driven planning and decision-making. Performs other duties as assigned.
