About The Position

One More Child is seeking to employ a full-time Data Analyst to support its mission of impacting vulnerable children and struggling families through the collection, integration, analysis, forecasting, and visualization of organizational data. The Data Analyst will bridge the gap between raw data and actionable intelligence by leveraging Microsoft Fabric's unified analytics platform to transform data into strategic insights that improve decision-making across fundraising, finance, program operations, and organizational leadership. This position will be responsible for analyzing data from multiple sources, developing semantic data models, identifying trends and opportunities, conducting predictive analysis, and delivering interactive Power BI dashboards that translate data into meaningful business insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Fabric and Power BI expertise, and the ability to communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and dashboard development.
  • Ability to demonstrate data visualization capabilities in Power BI and provide examples of previous dashboard, report, or analytics work.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, and Data Warehouse.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience querying large datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Python, Spark, or other data science and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling, forecasting, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain data accuracy, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Certified Analytics Professional or similar.
  • Preferred KQL experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards using Power BI
  • Monitor Fabric data pipelines and datasets and extend semantic models.
  • Perform trend analysis, forecasting, and predictive analytics to support organizational planning and decision-making.
  • Maintain reliable reporting systems that include data from multiple legacy organizational systems and new data systems as needed; identify inaccurate or inconsistent data and work with appropriate departments to cleanse data and resolve underlying issues.
  • Utilize SQL, Power BI, and Fabric analytics tools to identify insights, opportunities, risks, and performance trends.
  • Develop and support machine learning and predictive models using Microsoft Fabric Data Science tools, Spark and/or Python.
  • Maintain and respond to automated monitoring, alerts, and reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs, and analytical needs.
  • Develop report wireframes, mockups, or prototypes to validate layout, metrics, filters, and user experience prior to dashboard development.
  • Present data-driven recommendations and insights to leadership and department teams.
  • Support data governance, data quality, security, and reporting best practices across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
