About The Position

EY is seeking a Data Analyst for their Technology Consulting - Data & Analytics team, specializing in Data Architecture & Engineering within the Financial Services Office. This role involves understanding business challenges and developing data architecture and engineering solutions. The analyst will work with clients to transform their data usage by architecting modern data platforms, data products, and data marketplaces. The goal is to provide end-to-end solutions that improve data supply chains, reengineer processes, enhance risk control, and enable information intelligence using advanced technologies. The position requires solving complex issues, driving growth in financial services, defining data and analytic strategies, performing assessments, recommending remediation strategies, and designing/implementing future state data and analytics solutions. The role also includes managing and coaching diverse teams, ensuring project task and timeline accountability, proposing new technologies, initiating thought leadership through white papers and proof of concepts, developing logical problem-solving strategies, and engaging with large teams and functional leaders. Additionally, the role involves managing and motivating teams, consistently delivering quality client services, demonstrating technical capabilities, maintaining client relationships, and cultivating business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Analytics or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience, OR Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Analytics or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.
  • 3 years of combined experience in the banking, capital markets, insurance, and/or wealth and asset management industry.
  • 3 years of experience assisting clients with one or a combination of the following: strategic Data Architecture and Engineering, Cloud Data Modernization, Data Products, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Big Data initiatives and/or Event-driven Architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with one or a combination of the following: traditional data architecture practices including Master Data Management, Operational Data Analytics, Customer Data Hub, and/or Data Warehousing.
  • 3 years of experience with Next-Gen platforms including one or a combination of the following: Hyperscaler (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure), Snowflake, DataBricks, and/or distributed databases.
  • 3 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: architecting and designing large data platforms, data warehouses, streaming applications, data ingestion pipelines, data storage patterns, and/or data integration pipelines.
  • 3 years of combined experience in at least 1 of the following: Traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL), MPP (Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, Vertica or Netezza), NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Titan or Elasticsearch), Streaming Platform and Applications (Spark streaming, Kafka, Confluent or Storm), DevOps (Github, Kubernetes Jenkins or Terraform), Data Modeling (Data Vault, Star, Snowflake, or Canonical).
