In this role, you will provide insightful data analysis for program operations and demonstration projects, help leadership strengthen statewide services through informed recommendations, and contribute to policy and legislative analyses, including fiscal reviews. You will collaborate closely with data and program teams to develop clear, meaningful reports that guide decision‑making. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, supplemented by a master's degree in business or public administration, with coursework in areas such as economic theory, accounting and finance, organizational theory, and operations research.
  • Requires one year progressively responsible professional experience in management operations analysis or the completion of an approved training program.
  • Requires ability to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers one year of experience extracting data from Structured Query Language (SQL) data bases by writing and using SQL scripts.
  • Prefers one year of Microsoft Excel or similar software creating power pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros, or similar functions.
  • Prefers one year of Microsoft Excel or similar software experience creating visual representations of data, such as pivot tables, pie charts, graphs, models, etc.
  • Prefers one year of experience correlating data to current or potential policy implications.
  • Prefers one year of experience communicating data to stakeholders in both written and verbal form.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Data Analyst for departmental programs (CCP, APS, etc).
  • Provides data analysis for departmental demonstration projects.
  • Assists management by providing program, policy, and operational support through such means as evaluation of existing program operations, recommendations to improve availability of statewide services, and development of legislative analyses including fiscal implications.
  • Works directly with other data analysis staff and program staff in the development of reports.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
