About The Position

Herzog Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Analyst in St. Joseph, MO to join our team. In this role, you will transform raw data into actionable insights using modern analytics and AI-assisted tools to drive strategic business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, develop reports and dashboards, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in a data analysis role.
Strong proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX and Power Query.
Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large, complex databases.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, compelling manner.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field) preferred.
Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including report design and universe development preferred.
Experience with data visualization best practices preferred.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes preferred.
Experience using AI tools or platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar) to enhance data workflows and accelerate analysis preferred.
Industry experience in Construction, Transit, or Railway Maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to business stakeholders.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources
Create and maintain Business Objects reports and universes.
Collaborate with business teams to understand their reporting needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in data to support business growth and process improvement.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all reporting platforms.
Document processes, data dictionaries, and report metadata for knowledge sharing.
Stay current with emerging data tools and AI-driven analytics techniques, proactively identifying opportunities to apply them within Herzog.
Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
