As a Data Analyst at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful technical solutions to solve healthcare challenges. Across private and public sectors—from care coordination to quality improvement to healthcare access—we need you to help find the answers in the data. On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to help create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll work with and learn from your teammates as you develop algorithms and systems. You’ll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers so that your clients can visualize the information and make informed decisions. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data ingestion, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
  • 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience in SQL, including pulling data and joining datasets for relational data modeling
  • Knowledge of structured and unstructured data sources
  • Knowledge of using Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, pivot charts, and power query
  • Ability to generate data visualizations with tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging SQL / NoSQL, R, Python, or Power BI’s DAX language
  • Experience developing data tools linked with a cloud based database environment such as MS Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Experience creating data pipelines to clean data in a repeatable way so it is usable for data visualization and analysis tools
  • Experience working with healthcare data from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Military Health System, or Defense Health Agency
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record or healthcare claims data
  • Experience using AI assistants, such as Chat GPT, MS CoPilot, or Gemini, for the purpose of supporting coding for low code data tools
  • Master’s degree
