About The Position
Cummings Electrical is hiring a Data Analyst for our Business Improvement Solutions (BIS) Team. This role supports the team by transforming data into clear, useful information to aid decision-making and improve operational efficiency. The Data Analyst will collaborate with various departments to understand business needs, analyze information, develop dashboards and reports, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement. This position involves taking ownership of analytics projects and enhancing the accessibility, reliability, and usability of company data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Typically 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or a similar tool.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with data from multiple sources.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to clean, organize, validate, and analyze data.
- Ability to identify trends and turn data into meaningful business insights.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate work.
- Ability to clearly communicate data and findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow work through completion.
Responsibilities
- Support the Business Improvement Solutions Team by turning data into clear, useful information that helps Cummings Electrical make better decisions and improve how work gets done.
- Work with departments across the company to understand business needs.
