About The Position

The Data Analyst V is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of enterprise business intelligence solutions that support regulatory reporting, operational analytics, and executive decision-making. This role ensures analytics are accurate, consistent, scalable, aligned with enterprise data standards, and presented in a clear, user-friendly format. The Data Analyst V works closely with Data Engineers, Analytics leadership, and various business stakeholders and plays a key role in delivering dashboards, reports, and semantic models using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of BI or analytics development experience
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Advanced SQL and data manipulation skills
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare payer data (Medicaid preferred), including claims, eligibility, and provider data
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare coding standards such as ICD, CPT, DRG, and NPI
  • Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based data platforms
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven initiatives and address urgent operational requests with minimal project disruption
  • Familiarity with health insurance industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA
  • Extensive experience supporting healthcare regulatory and audit reporting
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy with ability to translate business and contractual requirements into analytics solutions

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models within the Microsoft Fabric platform for regulatory reporting, financial and utilization analysis, and operational performance
  • Establish enterprise KPIs and standardized reporting metrics as defined by the Health Plan
  • Optimize report performance, usability, and scalability
  • Validate analytics outputs, reporting deliverables, and operational metrics through source data verification to ensure data is complete, accurate, and audit ready
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analytics leadership to align data models with analytics requirements
  • Advise on dataset architecture, reuse, and standardization
  • Apply healthcare-specific logic and definitions consistently across reporting deliverables
  • Support audit research and deliverables, regulatory reporting, and ad hoc requests
  • Partner with Data Engineers and Analytics leadership to resolve upstream data issues, and report discrepancies or inconsistencies
  • Contribute to enterprise data governance, documentation, and metadata management
  • Work closely with health plan stakeholders to define and document reporting requirements, assumptions, and dependencies
  • Convert complex business requirements into scalable analytics solutions
