About The Position

Study.com is seeking a Data Analyst SME to help shape and produce training that teaches working analysts how to integrate AI into their day-to-day workflows. This role involves partnering with the content team to design curriculum, create step-by-step walkthroughs, record video demonstrations of AI tools applied to real-world analyst workflows, and pressure-test course content for skills alignment. The goal is to create training that helps analysts effectively leverage AI, distinguishing between new capabilities and speed efficiencies. The ideal candidate is a practitioner-teacher with a strong point of view and a proven track record of creating instructional content.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Data Analyst experience in industry (not purely academic), currently working in the field or with hands-on experience within the last 2 years.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching, mentoring, or training other analysts.
  • A portfolio of instructional video content (walkthroughs, recorded trainings, talks, internal demos, YouTube channel).
  • Production self-sufficiency: ownership or access to preferred screen recording and editing tools (e.g., Camtasia, Loom, OBS, ScreenFlow).
  • Effective teaching presence on mic or camera, with clear narration pacing and minimal filler.
  • Ability to articulate specific analyses where AI tools changed workflow, detailing their benefits and limitations.
  • Proficiency in SQL (intermediate to advanced).
  • Proficiency in Python or R.
  • Proficiency in at least one BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Strong written communication skills: clear, accurate, and well-organized.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing or delivering structured training programs (curriculum design, learning objectives, assessment).
  • Exposure to 2+ industry verticals (finance, healthcare, marketing, ops, SaaS, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of statistical concepts: distributions, hypothesis testing, regression, A/B testing.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (Statistics, CS, Economics, Math, or related), or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the content team to shape the curriculum, providing expert judgment on essential AI topics for working analysts.
  • Advise on the necessary tools and features for teaching AI-assisted analysis effectively.
  • Design step-by-step walkthroughs and record video demonstrations showcasing AI tools in real analyst workflows.
  • Differentiate between AI features (new capabilities) and efficiencies (speed improvements) and teach this distinction.
  • Pressure-test course content to ensure skills alignment and identify any gaps, mis-sequencing, or tangential information.
  • Record, edit, and deliver publish-ready instructional videos according to specified formats and quality standards.
