About The Position

ECG, a leading healthcare consulting firm, is seeking individuals to join its growing Analytics Hub. This role involves delivering insights, analysis, and intelligence to healthcare clients, supporting consulting teams in making informed decisions. The Analytics Hub operates within a Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environment, utilizing Power BI for data visualization. The position aims to leverage existing infrastructure and implement new features and technologies, requiring an adaptable candidate proficient in new solutions. ECG's approach combines qualitative findings with data-driven strategic, operational, and financial considerations to enable practical change and sustainable results for clients in areas such as value-based care, financial performance, and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry, AI, machine learning, and analytics
A bachelor’s degree in either computer science, computer engineering, data analytics, mathematics, or statistics
Prior work experience in healthcare data analytics using SQL and Power BI required (five+ years of experience for senior analyst level; one to three years for analyst)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Comfort with manipulating and synthesizing large data sets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Having the permanent legal right to work in the United States is a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience in healthcare consulting preferred
Experience using Python, R, Fabric, and Tableau a plus

Responsibilities

Perform complex analyses on big data, including cleaning, preparing, and interpreting.
Gather and synthesize data from various sources (e.g., national surveys, proprietary research, client interviews, industries, markets).
Preparing analyses related to hospital inpatient databases and provider claims data.
Build flexible, dynamic, and scalable financial and operational models to forecast trends, preparing scenarios for consulting efforts related to delivery and business development (e.g., strategic planning, operational improvement market assessments).
Apply AI and machine learning techniques to enhance data analysis, automate insights, accelerate output development, and improve decision-making.
Enhance existing models and capabilities built using SQL, primarily, with some use of Python or R in certain models or scenarios.
Identify and execute analyses in response to consultant business intelligence inquiries.
Build relational databases using a Microsoft SQL Server or Fabric.
Communicate market insights to pursuit teams, and support business development efforts.
Configure, maintain, and build flexible reports, queries, and visuals within the Power BI environment and the production and development environments of related databases.
Research, test, and implement solutions in Power BI.
Partner with various consulting units (Strategy & Enterprise Growth, Payer Strategy & Contracting, Health System Performance, Medical Group Optimization) to gather requirements related to data analytics.
Develop, configure, and maintain interfaces to exchange data among Power BI, SQL databases, and other cloud-based applications.
Create and maintain analytical support documentation and operating procedures.
Develop new and innovative methodologies and approaches.
Contribute to internal education and learning opportunities for consultants and operations members for the Analytics Hub and analytics in general, and support education about ECG’s use cases related to analytics in work.
Assist the VP of Data Analytics and AI in developing analytics and data strategy to support data analytics capabilities at the firm.
