About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an intermediate Data Analyst/Optics Engineer. Primary duties will involve the design, development, and testing of advanced algorithms as well as data reduction and interpretation of data from real-time optical sensor platforms. A well-suited applicant will be a self-motivating individual capable of working independently and within a team environment and possess good oral and written communication skills. The position also includes opportunities to work hands-on with land, sea, and air-based sensors both in the lab and supporting test events.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s Degree degree in physics, engineering, or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience AND 5+ years of related experience.
OR Master's Degree degree in physics, engineering, or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience AND 3+ years of related experience.
Active Secret Clearance and ability to maintain
Multi-object detection, association, state estimation, and tracking
Multi-camera geometry and image calibration
Data fusion and filtering
Strong grasp of statistical methods and mathematical principles in data science algorithms
In-depth knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning concepts
Good computational software skills are required.
Experience with MATLAB, Java, C++, and Python is desired

Interpreting data, performing statistical analysis, and analyzing results using statistical techniques.
Research and develop new analysis methodologies to improve analysis quality and efficiency.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Presenting analysis to peers and management.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
