About The Position

This role focuses on Data Analysis and Professional Coaching, providing expert guidance to teachers and support staff to enhance their data analysis skills within the Math and ELA subject areas. The position involves collaborating with instructional staff to interpret assessment data, enabling the implementation of targeted Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for students who are underperforming. Key responsibilities include generating and delivering quarterly testing data analysis and growth reports to building leadership and Teacher-Based Teams. Additionally, the role involves creating concise, one-page summaries of data and assessment responsibilities to ensure clarity and consistency in data practices among instructional staff. The position also encompasses Intervention Strategy and Implementation, where the analyst translates data insights into evidence-based instructional strategies, identifies students needing intervention, and ensures alignment with school improvement goals and federal identification status. Progress monitoring and compliance are crucial, involving collaboration with various stakeholders, maintaining accurate logs, and participating in required reporting and evaluation activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, Data Analytics, or a related discipline preferred.
Demonstrated successful experience in educational data analysis and interpretation.
Experience providing professional development or coaching to educators.
Working knowledge of assessment and intervention practices in the assigned subject area.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex testing data into accessible reports and resources.
Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

Provides professional coaching to teachers and support staff to improve their data analysis skills in the assigned subject area.
Guides instructional staff in analyzing assessment data to implement appropriate Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for the lowest-performing students.
Produces testing data analysis and growth reports and delivers them to building leadership and Teacher-Based Teams at least quarterly during the school year.
Drafts streamlined one-page overviews of data and assessment responsibilities for instructional staff to ensure clarity and consistency in data practices.
Collaborates with educators to translate data insights into actionable, evidence-based instructional strategies (ESSA Level 1).
Identifies students requiring Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention in the assigned subject area and confirms referral within each reporting cycle.
Ensures all data analysis practices and resulting interventions align directly with the building's One Plan goals and the reason for the school's federal identification status.
Monitors student progress in the assigned subject area and adjusts coaching strategies and intervention recommendations accordingly.
Position implementation is progress monitored quarterly by the Director of School Improvement using submitted data reports, Teacher-Based Team agendas and minutes documenting use of the reports, and fidelity checks confirming students requiring intervention were identified and referred.
Maintains accurate and detailed Time and Effort logs tracking percentage of time and outcomes by building and by grant, as required for all grant-funded positions.
Collaborates with the curriculum and instruction management network, building principals, and MTSS/RTI teams to align data coaching with ongoing school operations.
Participates in required DEW monitoring, grant reporting, and program evaluation activities.
