About The Position

As an analytics professional, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills to support a mission and use data for good. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge to empower customers to understand data and improve decision-making. As a client-facing data analyst on our National Security team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to help find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you extract and evaluate their data, but you’ll also help your client interpret the information and recommend how it can be used to make an impact on government decisions and optimizing federal systems.

Requirements

  • Experience synthesizing structured and unstructured data, developing data methodologies, and building data-driven solutions to support client decision-making
  • Experience leveraging Python for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or R
  • Knowledge of data analytics concepts, quantitative and qualitative metric or KPI development, and best practices for converting complex data sets into clear graphs, tables, and presentation materials
  • Ability to lead client briefings, facilitate interactive data workshops, and adapt quickly to shifting client priorities and complex mission problems
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, CS, Information Systems, or Mathematics

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scripting tools such as Python or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of database querying such as SQL, cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake, or basic statistical modeling techniques
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Analytics, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or AWS Certified Data Analytics Certification

  • Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, and R.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
  • Apply data visualization insights through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across the National Security Sector.
  • Work with us to help drive large-scale business and process decisions through data insights.
