About The Position

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to support the City University Construction Fund (CUCF). CUCF is a New York State public benefit corporation responsible for managing a $3 billion capital construction program for the design and construction of space to support CUNY's educational mandate. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to a significant public works program while gaining practical experience in data analysis and management.

Requirements

Enrolled in a CUNY school with at least 45 credits towards a Bachelor’s degree in a data or technical major.
Strong attention to detail and comfort in working on large datasets.
Ability to present information clearly and accurately.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent writing, interpersonal skills, customer service, and presentation skills.
Adaptable to a fast-paced work environment, changing needs, and shifting priorities.
Detail-oriented, well-organized, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Provide quality assurance of worksheet data, adjusting where necessary in accordance with the PMO.
Assist in analyzing and maintaining project-related data used for reporting and tracking.
Manage master data including creation, compilation, updates, and deletion.
Manage project data in PMWeb and project creations, then update and train staff, as required.
Work in Excel to clean, organize, validate, and analyze data using pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, formulas, and related tools.
Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
