The Data Analyst III is responsible for complex reporting processes that may require functions such as many-to-many merges, mining of unstructured data to create discrete data elements, converting data types, and creating moving window metrics. The Analyst is advanced in at least one programming language (e.g., R, SAS, SQL, Python, VBA) with key programming skills including the ability to independently write macros or functions and code that can be readily adapted for other reporting needs. The Analyst has a foundational understanding of statistical theory and underlying mathematical distributions, and is able to convey complex findings in simple terms to multidisciplinary audiences. The Analyst is capable of building advanced data collection tools with conditional logic and feedback processes. The Analyst is a subject-matter expert in the area they provide reporting for, and are able to autonomously lead projects with minimal oversight to achieve project deliverables. The Analyst will help grow skillsets for other analysts within the organization.
