About The Position

Marathon TS is looking for a Data Analyst II - Senior to support Client CBP on site in Crystal City, VA. This role involves leading and performing data-driven studies, assessments, and research to inform decision-making, resource allocation, and operational improvement. The analyst will apply quantitative and qualitative analytical methods, statistical techniques, modeling, simulation, and risk, cost, and benefit analyses to address operational and technical challenges. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to identify trends, relationships, performance drivers, and actionable insights, as well as developing and applying predictive, mathematical, and optimization models. The role also entails designing, tailoring, and implementing decision-support tools, analytics solutions, and process improvement approaches. Additionally, the analyst will conduct trade-off, operational, and systems analyses, establish and evaluate performance metrics, and apply industry best practices like Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies. The position requires developing reports, dashboards, visualizations, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders, and supporting knowledge transfer and training activities.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust
  • Bachelor's degree + 5-10 years of experience
  • Experience with Tableau and Power BI is required
  • Must be local to the DMV area
  • 5x a week on-site

Responsibilities

  • Establish and evaluate performance metrics, key indicators, and analytical frameworks that account for operational, technical, cost, feasibility, and risk considerations.
  • Apply industry best practices, maturity models, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve performance and analytical rigor.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations, presentations, and executive-ready recommendations that communicate findings and support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Support knowledge transfer and training activities to promote data-informed operations and continuous improvement.
