About The Position

The Data Analyst is responsible for processing and analyzing computer-generated test data collected from detector cars. The role ensures accuracy and compliance with internal and customer specifications through audit reporting, investigation support, and maintenance of departmental standards. It supports quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance. The position involves collaboration across departments and interaction with employees at all levels, and its work directly affects customer satisfaction and overall business performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies or trends.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in all internal and external interactions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze test data from rail inspection systems to identify defects and trends.
• Generate analysis reports in accordance with company and client specifications.
• Provide data summary emails as requested by customers.
• Ensure adherence to internal auditing standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain customer and intercompany audit processes.
• Support service failure investigations by reviewing and analyzing relevant data.
• Assist in maintaining departmental procedures and documentation.
• Support analysis and validation of new technologies.
