About The Position

This position prepares, reviews, and analyzes data to ensure accuracy and meet requirements for admissions, enrollment, and student success. It involves coordinating recurring data files, reports, and information flows to support institutional research reporting needs. The role also compiles information from various sources to aid in data-informed decisions and maintains proficiency in data governance, FERPA-sensitive data handling, and reproducible dataset preparation. Additionally, the position assists with reporting requirements, collaborates on institutional research projects, and is designated as remote-friendly, allowing for some or all duties to be performed remotely as mutually agreed upon. This is an off-dated position funded for one year from the date of hire, with a possibility of extension contingent upon funding renewal.

Requirements

  • Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree in Business, Communications, Math, Liberal Arts or related field.
  • One to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in administrative record-keeping.
  • Ability to understand, apply and interpret federal, state, institutional regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent work organization skills, with the ability to attend to detail and flexibly manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Campus Solutions and the Student Information System.
  • Ability to use data retrieval and manipulation tools, such as Stata, SQL, and/or Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of GIS and text analysis methods.
  • Prior experience with program management and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, reviews, and analyzes data to identify and resolve inconsistencies and ensure admissions, enrollment, and student success data is accurate and meets requirements.
  • Coordinates recurring data files, reports, documentation, and information flows to support IR reporting needs.
  • Compiles information from internal and external data sources to support data-informed decisions.
  • Maintains ongoing proficiency in admissions/enrollment/student success data, reporting cycles, data governance, FERPA-sensitive data handling, and reproducible dataset preparation.
  • Assists with annual or regular reporting requirements.
  • Works collaboratively across university areas on institutional research projects.
