About The Position

StackAdapt is seeking a Data Analyst II to join their Business Intelligence team within Advertising Technologies. This role involves delivering advanced data analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across product, revenue, and operations teams. The analyst will work with complex datasets, build reliable reporting pipelines, and propose new KPIs to enhance business visibility. This position is remote-friendly and open to candidates in Canada. The company utilizes AI-powered platforms and encourages the use of AI tools for analysis and documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a data analytics role, with a track record of delivering actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency, including the ability to write complex queries, troubleshoot data issues, and work with data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar).
  • Strong project management skills: ability to clarify requirements, set milestones, manage risks, and deliver reporting initiatives independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to write effective prompts, critically evaluate AI-generated output, and integrate AI tools into day-to-day workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality dashboards, reports, and datasets that support business decision-making across product, revenue, and operations teams.
  • Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.
  • Identify and recommend new KPIs and metrics that improve business visibility and stakeholder understanding of performance trends.
  • Manage project plans for new reporting needs, including requirements gathering, milestone tracking, and timely delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Revenue, Operations) to clarify data requirements, resolve data quality issues, and support evidence-based planning.
  • Own the delivery of regular BI reporting cycles.
  • Contribute to at least one new KPI framework.
  • Actively support the team's adoption of AI-assisted workflows using Claude for reporting and coding tasks and Gemini for planning and meeting documentation.
  • Ensure reporting SLA adherence: dashboards and ad hoc reports delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Improve data quality: reduction in data errors or discrepancies flagged by stakeholders.
  • Drive KPI adoption: number of new KPIs recommended and accepted by business partners.
  • Enhance stakeholder satisfaction: positive feedback from cross-functional partners on insight quality and responsiveness.
  • Ensure project delivery: reporting project plans completed on time and within scope.
  • Leverage AI/LLM tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and draft documentation.
