About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Data Integrity & Business Intelligence Manager/Team Leader and designated mentors within the Data Intelligence team, the Data Analyst Associate supports the Credit Union’s analytics and reporting efforts while gaining hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting tools, and enterprise data environments. This associate position is designed as a temporary development role, providing exposure to foundational data concepts, reporting processes, and data governance practices. The Data Analyst Associate assists with routine analytical tasks and documentation while learning how data supports decision-making across the Credit Union.

Requirements

  • Interest in data analysis, analytics, or business intelligence
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new tools, systems, and concepts quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Basic familiarity with Excel, reporting tools, or data analysis software preferred
  • Exposure to SQL, statistics, or programming concepts is beneficial but not required
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and receive feedback constructively
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • High school diploma required
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Assist Data Analysts with preparation, validation, and maintenance of reports and dashboards
  • Support data collection, basic data cleaning, and quality checks under supervision
  • Perform exploratory analysis to identify basic trends and discrepancies as directed
  • Help document report definitions, logic, and data sources
  • Learn and follow established data governance standards, definitions, and processes
  • Participate in testing and validation of reports to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with responding to routine data or reporting requests under guidance
  • Build foundational knowledge of the Credit Union’s data warehouse, core systems, and BI tools
  • Attend team meetings, training sessions, and learning activities as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of learning objectives
