About The Position

We’re currently looking for a Data Analyst to join the Warranty Group of America (WGA) Data Analytics team within TCS at Nissan Americas HQ in Franklin, TN. This entry level role is designed for a recent graduate interested in building a career along a data science and advanced analytics career ladder. The Data Analyst will support warranty and aftersales analytics initiatives by working across the full lifecycle of data analytics projects—from interpreting business requirements to delivering high quality analytical solutions and automation tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline)
  • Demonstrated applied knowledge through internships, capstone projects, or student consulting projects involving real organizations
  • Up to 2 years of hands-on data analysis experience with data preparation, cleaning, and standardization utilizing SQL and Python
  • Ability to plan and organize work from project initiation through completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in modern data and application development stack spanning version control (Git), interactive analytics frameworks (Streamlit, Shiny, Dash), relational and cloud data platforms (SQL databases, Snowflake), and cloud computing environments (AWS).
  • Experienced with Microsoft’s Power Platform ecosystem (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), agile and kanban project management tools, and containerization using Docker.
  • Academic background includes applied statistics, time‑series analysis, machine learning, and generative AI through coursework and strong project work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal business teams to gather and understand analytical project requirements
  • Translate business needs into structured analytical work plans and measurable deliverables
  • Prepare, clean, transform, and standardize data to ensure high data quality and usability
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and analytical workflows to support repeatable insights
  • Build reports, dashboards, and analytical applications using tools such as Power BI and open source frameworks
  • Support automation initiatives by providing data, analytics, and tools to TCS engineering teams
  • Apply statistical and data science techniques (e.g., descriptive statistics, forecasting, time series, machine learning) to business problems
  • Participate in agile or kanban based project workflows, including task tracking and progress reporting
  • Use version control and modern development practices to ensure reproducibility and maintainability
  • Communicate analytical insights to both technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Contribute new ideas, methods, and emerging data science technologies to continuously enhance team capabilities
