Data & AI Intern

CareDx, Inc.•Brisbane, CA

About The Position

CareDx is seeking an intern to join the Bioinformatics and Data Science group within its Data and AI team. The intern will contribute to developing clinical tests that inform diagnosis and treatment for transplant patients by applying and developing bioinformatics and statistical methods for next-generation sequencing (NGS) and omics data. The role also applies AI-enabled research and structured problem framing to identify and prioritize data opportunities across solid organ transplant and cell therapy programs, and to assess potential data products, biopharma collaborations, and real-world evidence opportunities. The intern will synthesize evidence into recommendations, decision frameworks, and pilot proposals for scientific, product, medical, and business stakeholders. The internship lasts 10–12 weeks and is 40 hours per week. The anticipated compensation for candidates working in Brisbane, California, is $40 per hour. The intern will gain practical experience in NGS and omics analysis, computational pipeline development, experimental design, assay evaluation, scientific troubleshooting, reproducible documentation, and communicating findings. The role also offers mentorship and exposure to product strategy, real-world evidence, and biopharma partnerships in transplant diagnostics and cell therapy.
