About The Position

The Peebles Data Acquisition Tech will perform technical assignments involving instrumentation and data acquisition / processing systems under the leadership of appropriate staff or project personnel. This role involves setting up, installing, calibrating, documenting, and operating analog and digital instrumentation data acquisition and processing systems. The technician will also contribute to investigating, correcting, and documenting instrumentation or system malfunctions, and assist in the interpretation and processing of associated test data. Maintaining effective communication with customers, support organizations, and team members, as well as actively participating in multi-skills development, are key aspects of this position. The Peebles site has a long history, evolving into a critical part of GE Aerospace’s engine journey, serving as the final stop before engines go on the wing of an airplane. Located in Adams County, Ohio, the 7,000-acre campus supports a wide range of impactful work including production operations, maintenance, repair and overhaul, production test, development test, and defense & systems. Peebles is recognized for its commitment to safety and excellence, being the first GE Aerospace site to achieve OSHA VPP certification. The site performs new make OEM acceptance testing and advances future flight technologies, with a growing workforce of 525 employees.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Technical Discipline from an accredited school or institution (Or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing or equivalent quality training)
  • Ability and willingness to work weekend shifts
  • Ability and willingness to work an off-shift position - weekend shift / 2nd shift
  • Ability and willingness to work a reasonable expectation of overtime
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to prove status as a U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee or refugee status).
