About The Position

DivaDance is seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join their team as Dance / Dance Fitness Instructors / Choreographers. This part-time role involves leading pop-music inspired, choreography-based dance classes for adults of all levels. The position offers flexible working hours, professional development, and opportunities for growth within a values-driven organization. Instructors are expected to be the "Queen (or King!) Bee" of every class, teaching original choreography to popular music. A key requirement is completing an online Instructor Development Program before teaching. DivaDance emphasizes creating an inclusive environment and building community. The role requires a big personality, experience in choreography and teaching adults, and strong communication skills. Reliability and responsiveness are crucial, as "flakes or last-minute excuse-makers need not apply." Requirements

Experience teaching and choreographing for adults.
Submit a video of original choreography with application.
Passion for dance, fitness, and creating inclusive experiences.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Comfortable using technology (Slack, Mindbody, Spotify).
Access to smartphone or laptop for work tasks.
Clean sneakers for teaching.
Enjoyment choreographing to popular music/top 40’s.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must complete online Instructor Development Program before teaching.

Responsibilities

Lead fun, inclusive dance fitness classes at DivaDance's Austin locations.
Teach choreography aligned with DivaDance brand standards and certification program.
Arrive performance-ready with energy that lifts the room.
Build authentic relationships with clients and fellow team members.
Participate in team trainings, meetings, and community events.
Maintain class notes and client engagement in the management system.
Help with basic studio setup, breakdown, and cleanliness as needed.
