About The Position

The Dance Company Director shapes the creative vision for the dance company for the season (August 2026-July 2027). This role manages weekly company rehearsals for each dance company, choreographs dance company pieces, collaborates with other dance company instructors, selects costumes within the Company budget, leads auditions, and attends all dance competitions and Nationals.

Requirements

• Extensive background in professional dance, choreography, or company management, 10+ yrs.
• Strong communication, motivational, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Deep familiarity with dance techniques, safety protocols, and production logistics.

Responsibilities

• Set the creative direction and select season repertoires.
• Hold auditions, make casting decisions, and run weekly company rehearsals.
• Measure for and choose costumes within budget.
• Complete costume sizing forms.
• Complete lighting forms.
• Edit music.
• Coordinate master company calendars.
• Update and maintain company Band app information on a need-to-basis.
• Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings pertaining to the PDC, EGPD.
