As a Damage Prevention Systems Analyst, you'll help support the technology and business systems that play a critical role in pipeline safety and damage prevention. You'll work with business users, operations teams, IT professionals, and software vendors to improve system performance, enhance reporting, support compliance efforts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for a technology-savvy analyst who enjoys combining data analytics, system administration, business process improvement, and user support to make a measurable impact on safety and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Accounting, Business Management, Engineering or related field such as from an accredited institution.
  • 4 years of experience supporting the use of software/platforms by end users
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have related technology knowledge and the ability to comprehend and effectively communicate software/platform functionality, specifications, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions to support business operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience support within a regulated utility.
  • Experience creating Power BI dashboards and working with SharePoint lists.
  • System administration experience in development and implementation.
  • Technical writing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and effective use of the Damage Prevention Ticket Management System.
  • Monitor system performance, data quality, user activity, and operational trends.
  • Assist with system configuration, testing, implementations, and enhancement projects.
  • Help ensure business processes, documentation, and system procedures remain accurate and up to date.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and business intelligence tools.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across reporting sources.
  • Translate business needs into meaningful reports and visualizations that support decision-making.
  • Serve as a key resource for end users by providing technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and training.
  • Help users maximize the value of business applications and reporting tools.
  • Document issues, coordinate testing activities, and support successful technology deployments.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback, business requirements, and enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations teams, and vendors to improve processes and system performance.
  • Identify innovative technology solutions that increase efficiency, strengthen compliance, and reduce damage prevention risks.
