DMC, an employee-owned engineering consulting firm in BC, is growing, and we’re looking for a Dam Safety Engineer who’s ready to help us keep the momentum moving. We are seeking a candidate that is proficient in project management, hydrologic/watershed analysis and modelling, hydraulic structure modelling, and design. The candidate would ideally have client liaison experience and be proficient in preparing technical memos and reports. The successful candidate’s duties will include participating in undertaking dam safety reviews, annual dam safety inspections, dam breach, inundation and consequence classification assessments, preparation of dam emergency plans, preparation of design of appurtenant hydraulic structures, and hydrology and numerical flow modelling. Travel throughout British Columbia and Yukon may be required in this position. DMC’s Infrastructure Group supports a wide range of projects, including linear infrastructure development, commercial and industrial structures, natural hazard mitigation, dam engineering, and marine facilities. Our clients include provincial agencies, municipalities, utilities, First Nation communities, architects, developers, and contractors throughout BC.
