Internal Audit and Financial Advisory consultants work with leading global companies, collaborating to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions. We focus on developing versatile consultants with broad capabilities and deep expertise across various industries, technical skills, and leadership qualities. They will learn alongside experienced leaders and advisors, developing a strong understanding of business processes, regulatory environments, and risk/control frameworks, while building fluency in AI-enabled analysis, data interrogation, and audit methodology. Consultants will assess risks, analyze data, document observations, and communicate insights to meaningfully contribute to client engagements. Building professional relationships grounded in trust is key to exceptional client service. Successful consultants manage time and priorities effectively, take ownership of assignments, and contribute to team outcomes. They receive hands-on training in a supportive, high-performance environment and interact with practice leaders. Talent Managers assign projects to support career growth, skills development, and business needs. A network of advisors provides guidance and support. Opportunities exist to join committees, participate in employee network groups, and engage in social, civic, and networking activities. Internal Audit and Financial Advisory consultants are hired into two areas: Business Process Audit and Advisory, which focuses on exploring business processes, mitigating risks, developing solutions, and enhancing business functions to meet regulatory and compliance requirements, and improving efficiency and effectiveness of core business processes. Technology Audit and Advisory, which focuses on navigating technology risks and opportunities, including cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, and cloud, assessing and advising on how organizations use technology to protect and enhance enterprise value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related fields)
  • Authorization to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, etc.)
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills and innovation to client engagements across various industries
  • Technical proficiency aligning with the assigned capability area
  • Works effectively in teams, as well as independently
  • Applies creativity and analytical thinking to problem-solving
  • Evaluates, synthesizes, organizes, and interprets data effectively
