About The Position

Weis Markets is seeking a passionate and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Dairy Sales Associate. This role is responsible for maintaining the dairy department to meet customer demands, ensuring product freshness and proper pricing, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the store. Requirements

Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
No prior experience required.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Training provided for power jack or hand jack operation.
Training provided for baling cardboard.

Responsibilities

Keep the dairy department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demands, while achieving efficiency and productivity standards.
Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly, politely, and professionally.
Ensure dairy product is fresh and saleable by following rotation standards.
Ensure product is correctly priced with proper tags or signage.
Handle spoiled, damaged, or near-expiration merchandise according to company procedures.
Maintain the condition of the sales floor, cooler, and backroom.
Perform general sanitation in the department, ensuring work areas, equipment, and display cases are clean and meet health and OSHA requirements.
Dispose of trash properly.
May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries.
Help review orders to manage inventory levels.
Minimize losses by following time and temperature guidelines.
Report damages and/or discrepancies to the Dairy Leader or store management.
May assist with baling cardboard or other related duties if over 18 years of age.
Cooperate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth function of the department and store.
Continuously improve job performance.
Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
May be called upon to assist in other departments.
