About The Position
The Dairy Manager is responsible for maintaining and operating all aspects of the Dairy Department within the Grocery section. This role involves managing deliveries, pricing, inventory, product freshness, and customer relations, while adhering to company policies.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, ordering, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds thirty percent (30%) of the time.
Responsibilities
- Verify all deliveries against invoices, noting shortages or overages and reporting them.
- Implement price changes within the department.
- Maintain acceptable inventory levels through proper ordering techniques.
- Rotate products to ensure freshness and remove out-of-code items.
- Manage temporary price reductions for specific products.
- Communicate temperature failures of cases, shelves, and storage areas to management.
- Control damaged merchandise by reporting damages and storing them for sales representatives.
- Maintain good customer relations.
- Greet all customers and be observant while working.
- Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
- Transport products to storage areas and to the sales floor.
- Maintain shelves and cases to ensure customer satisfaction.
