About The Position

This position involves managing the dairy department, including sales, stocking, merchandising, customer service, and supervision to meet sales, gross profit, and distribution goals. Requirements

• Knowledge of all aspects of grocery store operation.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends.
• Excellent communicate skills with vendors, customers and employees.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written), good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to get along with customers, vendors, suppliers and associates.
• Must be able to motivate and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Sells and stocks dairy food items.
• Receives, stores, stocks, and merchandises dairy products.
• Creates and builds promotional displays and endcaps.
• Orders product.
• Assists customers in locating merchandise and engages in suggestive selling.
• Rotates product and ensures code date compliance.
• Communicates with customers, associates, and management in a polite and professional manner.
• Cleans work areas as needed.
• Supervises department to ensure sales goals, gross profit percent goals, and distribution goals are met.
