About The Position

The Dairy/Frozen Stocker helps maintain guest service and departmental operations in the dairy/frozen food department. The role stocks and maintains dairy and frozen products, manages inventory and ordering, supports merchandise deliveries, and maintains sanitation and safe, organized work areas. The position may also perform front-end duties as needed to uphold the store’s “no noticeable wait” standard.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 40 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and direction.
Knowledge of dairy/frozen food operations.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.
May be subject to temperature fluctuations while working in and around the dairy/frozen department.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
Stock, rotate, and condition dairy and frozen products on shelves according to Lowes Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
Maintain a neat and safe work area so guests can shop without agitation.
Keep cooler and freezer overstock organized, inventoried, rotated, and dated.
Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control, product rotation, and proper product handling.
Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise deliveries.
Order milk, eggs, and other dairy/frozen products to maintain proper product levels, rotation, and inventory control.
Maintain organized ordering paperwork and follow stock-loss documentation procedures.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in cooler/freezer areas.
Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
