About The Position

The Dairy/Deli Clerk is responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers. This role involves stocking shelves, dairy cases, and other areas within the Dairy/Deli & Grocery Departments. The clerk will also fill customer orders, ensure all items are within their expiration dates, rotate stock for freshness, and manage daily price changes to maintain price integrity. A key aspect of this role is providing extraordinary customer service, which includes a positive attitude, respect for others, and flexibility in adapting to workplace changes.

Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to walk.
• Frequent use of hands; hands to finger; and handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close and color vision.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocks shelves, dairy-case, and other areas of the Dairy/Deli & Grocery Departments.
• Fills customer orders by obtaining items from shelves, freezers, coolers, bins, tables, or containers.
• Ensures all items in the dairy box are in-code and well within their expiration date.
• Rotates stock to assure high quality, fresh merchandise at all times.
• Completes daily price changes accurately and before the store opens, maintaining price integrity at all times.
• Monitors pull dates on all Dairy/Deli & Grocery merchandise.
• Provides customer service that exceeds expectations, demonstrating a positive attitude, respect, and flexibility.
