About The Position

Daily Maverick is seeking interns for their Newsletters team. Requirements

• A degree, diploma, or qualification in Journalism, Media Studies, English, Communications, or a related field (or final-year status).
• Excellent written English skills.

• Keen interest in South African current affairs, politics, and digital media trends.
• Comfort learning new digital tools, ESPs, content platforms, and basic digital analytics.
• High attention to detail, including precise editing skills.
• Ability to work efficiently to meet strict newsroom production deadlines.
• Reliability under pressure.
