DaBL Lab Technician (Student)
About The Position
The Design and Build Lab (DaBL) is seeking a motivated and creative undergraduate or graduate student employee to join our team as a Student Lab Technician. Student Technicians support the daily operations of the makerspace by assisting visitors, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. Ideal candidates will have experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: digital fabrication (laser cutting, 3D printing, vinyl cutting), electronics and Arduino, vector graphics design, 3D modeling, woodworking, or general prototyping. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Training will be provided for all major equipment and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Must be an enrolled American University student
- Experience or strong interest in digital fabrication (laser cutting, 3D printing, vinyl cutting), electronics and Arduino, vector graphics design, 3D modeling, woodworking, or general prototyping
