About The Position

The D365 System Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and related business applications. This role serves as the operational owner of the D365 platform, ensuring system stability, security, performance, and user adoption while supporting business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, Asset Management, Procurement, and Corporate functions. The D365 System Administrator partners closely with business stakeholders, Business Systems Analysts, developers, implementation partners, and vendors to maintain a secure, scalable, and well-governed ERP environment. This role is responsible for system administration, security management, workflow administration, release management, environment management, issue resolution, and user support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Experience managing ERP security roles and permissions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise business applications.
  • Experience with application troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Experience supporting software releases and deployments.
  • Experience working with business users and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience documenting system configurations and procedures.

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310) preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (MB-330) strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) preferred.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments.
  • Manage system configurations, parameters, and administrative settings.
  • Monitor system health, performance, batch jobs, and integrations.
  • Coordinate environment refreshes, deployments, and system updates.
  • Manage Lifecycle Services (LCS) activities and environments.
  • Support application upgrades, testing, and release deployments.
  • Maintain system documentation and configuration records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform stability and performance.
  • Administer user accounts, security roles, and permissions.
  • Perform periodic security reviews and access audits.
  • Ensure segregation of duties and security best practices are maintained.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Maintain security documentation and role definitions.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate user onboarding, role changes, and offboarding activities.
  • Configure and maintain D365 workflows and approval processes.
  • Support business process owners in identifying workflow improvements.
  • Troubleshoot workflow and approval issues.
  • Assist in evaluating system enhancement requests.
  • Support process standardization initiatives.
  • Partner with Business Systems Analysts to implement approved changes.
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for D365 system issues.
  • Troubleshoot application, configuration, security, and integration issues.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Monitor support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Support end-user training and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Coordinate testing and deployment activities for system enhancements.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Maintain release schedules and deployment documentation.
  • Validate changes before production deployment.
  • Assist in evaluating and prioritizing enhancement requests.
  • Participate in application governance and roadmap discussions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the ERP platform.
