POSITION SUMMARY: You will actively participate in the development of internal applications and scripts that enable automation and constant evolution of solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the Application Lifecycle Management ecosystem for development teams while collaborating with IT administrators.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in programming (e.g., C#) and scripting languages (PowerShell, BAT, Python, Ruby, etc.).
  • Bilingualism (French and English) as you will need to communicate with teams outside of Quebec.
  • Practical experience in the management and automation of the operational stack (Git, MSBuild, Jenkins, NuGet, Confluence, Jira/TFS, etc.) supporting continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Practical experience in the development of compilation scripts and integrations through third-party application APIs.
  • Understanding of managing multiple Git repositories supporting feature development by concurrent agile teams.
  • Practical experience in using configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, SaltStack) ensuring repeatability and constant evolution of infrastructure.
  • Practical experience in managing and configuring web servers and application servers (Tomcat IIS, Apache, Nginx).
  • Practical experience in the configuration, virtualization, and support of Windows and Linux systems.
  • Experience in evolving the DevOps practice within a software development company.
  • Understanding of good IT operational practices (monitoring, backups, infrastructure).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure: support for compilation scripts and evolution of continuous integration (including application packaging); application programming and script development; management of multiple source code repositories; coaching and support for supported tools and practices; development of back-office solutions supporting service continuity; identification of opportunities for optimization of code/scripts, infrastructure, tools, and practices to increase the efficiency and productivity of development teams.
  • Collaborate with the IT administrators team to ensure: virtualization and management of Windows and Linux environments; installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of internal applications; automated configuration management; evolution of strategic common projects.
  • Evolve the DevOps practice within the company, while following good IT operational practices and favoring a collaborative approach.
  • Provide training and coaching in the implementation of tools and new concepts.
