We're looking for someone who enjoys modeling data as much as talking directly with a client. This role is focused on designing advanced semantic layers, writing complex SQL and delivering robust dashboards, published through a rigorous Git workflow with VS Code. You'll also become the technical point of contact for several clients, gathering their requirements and delivering solutions that meet their business needs. This isn't a purely analytical role, nor a closed development role without client contact. It takes someone who is just as comfortable in a code editor as in a meeting room with a client. This role is posted as BI Developer, with the internal title of Spécialiste Données, volet Analytique et IA. This is a permanent full time hybrid position, minimum 2 days per week in the office. This role is for you if you've already delivered end to end BI projects for clients, Git and VS Code are part of your daily routine, and you're comfortable managing a client independently. If you're looking for a purely technical role with no client contact, or a purely client facing role with no coding, this isn't that role.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in BI development or data solutions, with real client delivery
Advanced mastery of SQL and data modeling, including semantic layer design
Git and VS Code have been part of your daily routine for a while
Concrete experience managing a client, including difficult clients, without supervision
Ability to translate business needs into functional deliverables
Bilingual FR/EN communication

Nice To Haves

Experience at a software development firm, a dev shop or a technology consulting firm
Exposure to AWS or a cloud environment
Experience with advanced semantic modeling (dbt, Power BI semantic models or equivalent)
Interest in data or applied generative AI

Responsibilities

Design and model advanced semantic layers that reflect our clients' business reality
Write advanced SQL queries to transform, validate and structure data
Build robust, reusable Power BI dashboards and reports
Write and publish your code through a rigorous Git workflow, working daily in VS Code
Become the main technical point of contact for several clients
Gather business requirements, document them and translate them into functional deliverables
Adjust deliverables and models throughout a mandate based on client feedback
Present deliverables to clients and answer their technical questions
Manage demanding clients independently, without coaching
