About The Position

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Cytotechnologist to support laboratory operations across multiple locations in New York. In this role, you will examine and evaluate cellular specimens to assist pathologists in the detection and diagnosis of cancer, infectious diseases, and other pathological conditions. Working within a collaborative laboratory environment, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results that directly impact patient care. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $71,000 to $106,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to work with advanced laboratory technologies and experienced pathology teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Cytotechnology, or a related scientific field.
• Cytotechnologist Certification (CT(ASCP)) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of cytology or clinical laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of cytology principles, specimen preparation, and microscopic evaluation techniques.
• Ability and willingness to travel between designated laboratory locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in high-volume clinical, hospital, or reference laboratory environments.
• Strong attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with digital pathology and laboratory information systems preferred.
