About The Position
The Cytologist is responsible for preparing, screening, and evaluating non-gynecologic cytology specimens (e.g., body fluids, fine needle aspirations, and other non-cervical samples) to detect cellular abnormalities, infections, inflammatory processes, and malignancies. The cytologist works closely with pathologists to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to guide patient care.
Requirements
- Experience in preparing, screening, and evaluating non-gynecologic cytology specimens
- Ability to detect cellular abnormalities, infections, inflammatory processes, and malignancies
- Proficiency in working with pathologists
- Understanding of diagnostic information to guide patient care
