About The Position
Seeking Cyto Tech! PRN, Days Baptist Health Floyd, Laboratory Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area We are seeking a CytoTech Laboratory Aide who under general supervision and according to established procedures exhibits a sound working knowledge of the embedding and cutting of tissue specimens, the preparation and staining of histology and cytology specimen slides and the processing of cytology specimens. The Cytotechnologist assists the pathologists with frozen sections, setting up gross, accessioning and other duties as needed. The Cytotechnologist should be well versed in chemical and hazardous materials safety techniques and policies and procedures. The Cytotechnologist evaluates procedures, executes quality control mechanisms, and performs preventive maintenance on all equipment and instrumentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cytotechnology
- Registered CT (ASCP)
