About The Position
As a Component Cleaner at OEM Remanufacturing, you will be responsible for efficiently cleaning and transporting incoming cores and components to ensure they are properly prepared for inspection, quotation, and assembly. In addition to this, you will play a key role in our contamination control by contributing to housekeeping duties and maintaining cleanliness in your area. Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher (internal candidates)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions
- Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures
- Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical aptitude and background is preferred
- Experience cleaning components and high-pressure washing preferred
- Previous experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred
Responsibilities
- Correctly and efficiently preparing parts, including sealing all orifices and other protective measures
- Cleaning of components using high pressure washer, Mart, caustic, and/or acid washing a variety of product types without causing damage to parts
- Contributing to housekeeping duties and maintaining cleanliness in your area
