About The Position

Roberts Oxygen, a leader in industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, is seeking a dedicated Cylinder Maintenance Operator for their Gaithersburg, MD location. This role involves ensuring the safe and accurate maintenance, analysis, and inspection of compressed and liquefied gas cylinders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable of handling heavy materials, and possesses strong technical and mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality and safety.

Requirements

Proven experience in maintenance, analysis, and inspection of compressed and liquefied gas cylinders.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
Ability to thrive through physical labor, including lifting, moving, and standing.
Technical and mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting, testing, and analysis.
Ability to lift 100 lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent driving record.
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain CDL.
Ability to obtain hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements.

Responsibilities

Handle, maneuver, load, unload, and organize high pressure and cryogenic cylinders.
Perform detailed maintenance repairs, valve insertions, and valve removals.
Conduct required testing, analysis, inspections, and requalification of cylinders.
Ensure acceptable cylinder appearance through proper painting and labeling.
Safely operate cylinder maintenance, analysis, and mechanical loading equipment (forklifts, handcarts, pallet jacks).
Commit to high performance through outstanding attendance and dependable work habits.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
