About The Position

Its service division, Rapid Recovery, is the leading provider of refrigerant recovery services for the HVAC, refrigeration, demolition, and marine industries. A-Gas Rapid Recovery utilizes industry-leading technologies for recovery, reclamation, and gas processing to develop innovative solutions for environmental protection. The Cylinder Exchange Technician role is crucial for driving business development and meeting gas acquisition goals through the Rapid Recovery Network Services. This position involves managing the "Rapid Exchange" cylinder program within a specific territory, interacting with customers and prospects, and handling gas consolidation and material handling responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 21 years old
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B license
  • Ability to obtain hazmat endorsement within 30 days of employment
  • A valid DOT medical card
  • Ability to obtain EPA 608 license within 14 days of employment
  • Strong reading, writing, and math skills
  • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and spend extended periods driving
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Priority given to safety attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the HVAC industry
  • Familiarity with refrigerant handling and HVAC gas recovery

Responsibilities

  • Operate the A-Gas cylinder exchange program by picking up and dropping off refrigerant gas cylinders at customer locations using a box truck.
  • Provide excellent customer service by understanding the competitive landscape, full service offerings, and customer needs to build loyalty and increase business opportunities.
  • Prepare and properly label cylinders.
  • Operate an electric pallet jack and lift gate to load and unload shipments.
  • Consolidate refrigerants into half-ton cylinders.
  • Assist with sourcing gas by looking for additional gas to bring back to the company for reclamation or destruction purposes.
  • Keep accurate reports and submit daily work orders and weekly expense reports on time.
  • Care for the assigned vehicle by keeping it in good condition and maintaining it according to the vehicle's manual.
  • Work safely and report any safety concerns.
  • Perform any other job duties as identified.
