About The Position

Provide coaching instruction and facilitate organizational administration and leadership necessary to operate a successful collegiate sports program.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree
• 3+ years in a head coach position at the high school or collegiate level
• Strong leadership experience is required
• Well-developed communication skills
• Current coaching certifications and/or licenses with the respective governing body is required
• Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position.

Responsibilities

• Schedule team practices and competitions for each season.
• Plan, organize, and implement team practice plans.
• Coordinate team travel needs for away competitions.
• Oversee and follow team budget each season.
• Order team equipment and apparel.
• Track student-athlete’s academic progress.
• Coordinate with and assign duties for assistant coaches.
• Complete all necessary league eligibility forms, rosters, and coaching materials.
• Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
