About The Position

Locates and counts packaging components, raw materials and finished goods per appropriate Aerofil process descriptions and work instructions.

Requirements

  • Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job
  • Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes respect and teamwork between coworkers, customers, vendors, supervisor and management
  • Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally, 25 - 50lbs. consistently
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator
  • Must be able to stand and walk, for extended periods of time
  • The worker regularly operates a computer, hand held scanner, and other office machinery
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other works, accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound
  • Visual/hearing ability sufficient to quickly analyze and comprehend written and verbal communication on all business documents
  • Possess good understanding of warehouse methodology
  • Must be able to pass the forklift test with a 70% or greater score
  • Computer literate or able to train on programs needed to perform job
  • Outstanding telephone and people skills

Nice To Haves

  • If not passed the first time, it can be re-taken in 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Locate and count packaging components, raw materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain stored items neatly and safely.
  • Take physical counts as required to determine quantity on hand.
  • Relocate items as necessary to insure usage of oldest items first.
  • Initiate appropriate paperwork reflecting any movement of items within the warehouse.
  • Perform safety inspections on forklifts and operate same in a safe manner.
  • Will do all inventory reconciliation in conjunction with inventory clerk
  • Back-up Inventory Clerk as needed
  • Good attendance record - less than 4 absences
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
