About The Position

JELD-WEN is seeking a Cycle Count Coordinator to join their growing team. VPI Quality Windows, a commercial division of JELD-WEN, Inc., focuses on manufacturing windows and patio doors for multi-family construction. The primary role of the Cycle Count Coordinator is to support manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate perpetual inventory through disciplined supervision and implementation of cycle counting processes, location governance, and variance resolution. This role ensures inventory accuracy, audit readiness, and material availability by executing standard inventory control processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The company's operations involve preparing vinyl lineals for production using a lamination process, sawing and machining vinyl and metal using CNC saws and mills, and assembling and glazing windows and patio doors through an assembly line process. Requirements

  • Consistent physical activity throughout the shift, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with team assistance.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing or assembly‑line environment with repetitive motions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day on hard surfaces.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing to access materials or operate equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret production paperwork, labels, and inventory documentation.
  • Understanding of cycle counting and perpetual inventory processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends or recurring issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintenance of a safe, clean work area.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Stable work history.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently with professionalism.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts.
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with Cantor or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to qualify for forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Be self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a process‑driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Assist co‑workers in analyzing and resolving issues encountered during job assignments to ensure work is performed according to standard procedures and instructions.
  • Supervise and sustain daily cycle‑counting activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accuracy of system inventory, material locations, and storage standards.
  • Support and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP) data and inventory location accuracy.
  • Run inventory system reports (e.g., negative movement, open transactions) and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular physical audits of inventory locations and labeling to ensure alignment between system records and the production floor.
  • Support inventory‑related continuous improvement efforts and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Communicate inventory issues, trends, and risks to leadership in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including safe operation of powered industrial equipment when required.
  • Meet daily production rates while maintaining quality standards for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned by the Supervisor or Manager to support operations.
