Cyberspace Policy Analyst
About The Position
Peraton is seeking an experienced Cyberspace Policy Analyst to join our USCYBERCOM team located in the Fort Meade, MD area. This role involves conducting research, analysis, development, and coordination of strategy, policy, and doctrine for cyberspace operations at various levels. The analyst will provide technical expertise on executive-level projects, support inter-agency and coalition policy formulations, and maintain awareness of cyber-related policy issues affecting DOD and USCYBERCOM. The position requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including risk analysis and the proposal of innovative solutions. Additionally, the role involves developing and updating metrics to assess operational performance and effectiveness, and providing concise, actionable communications to senior officials.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Cyberspace Policy Analyst or related functional area
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or related discipline
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Executive-level communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance

- Maintain a repository of measures of performance (MOP) and measures of effectiveness (MOE)
- Evaluate an operation against MOPs and MOEs to determine progress relative to the mission objectives and end states; continuously monitor and provide updates regarding the progress of the operation
- Develop, analyze, and update metrics to assess J3 operational performance and effectiveness; incorporate metrics into a strategic assessment process
Responsibilities
- Conducts research, analysis, development, and coordination of strategy, policy, and doctrine for cyberspace operations at the national, DOD, Service, and Command level
- Provides technical expertise on executive-level projects, analyzes, assesses, and develops future strategies, policies, and doctrines governing cyberspace operations
- Supports inter-agency and coalition policy formulations on cyberspace issues, ensuring authorities, concerns, and equities are accurately represented
- Maintains awareness of and reports significant cyber-related policy issues affecting DOD and USCYBERCOM
- Performs analysis and critical thinking, assesses programmatic issues, conducts risk analysis, and proposes innovative and achievable solutions
- Develops, analyzes, and updates metrics to assess J3 operational performance and effectiveness; incorporates metrics into a strategic assessment process
- Provide substantive content for policy formulations on cyberspace issues and research authorities, concerns, and equities to ensure accurate representation
- Provides concise, actionable communications to senior officials, both written and oral
