About The Position

Peraton is seeking an experienced Cyberspace Analyst to join their USCYBERCOM team located in the Fort Meade, MD area. The candidate will support cybersecurity efforts required for the delivery of Mission Assurance (MA) products as part of the effort to facilitate, evaluate, and report cyberspace operations. While representing USCYBERCOM, the candidate will coordinate strategic cybersecurity activities to create digital modernization standardization and align with DOD guidelines. This role facilitates cloud security efforts in the MA division and supports the integration/normalization of emerging cloud security concepts and programs. The analyst will communicate with internal and external partners to facilitate cyberspace situational awareness (SA) and information sharing within the DODIN. They will develop concept papers, technical white papers, and related documentation detailing cyberspace operations practices for implementation throughout DOD. The position also involves supporting cloud security implementation, controls, and operations using best practices, policies, and procedures that protect cloud data, applications, and infrastructure. The analyst will conduct research focusing on rapidly emerging cyber threats and cyber adversary TTPs, and draft assessments based on these threats. Collaboration with the whole of government is expected to stay abreast of constantly evolving adversary capabilities, intents, and activities outside the DODIN. The role includes coordinating, organizing, and participating in working groups and other workshop-type events supporting emerging concepts and programs. The analyst will provide technical expertise for the identification, development, and prioritization of cyberspace operations requirements, processes, procedures, and governing directives. They will assist the DoD CIO, Joint Staff, and OSD in formulating policy, and assist with writing, analyzing, and consolidating feedback on specified policies. The position provides planning and integration support for cyberspace operations and identifies opportunities for mission enhancement. The analyst will work with staff to write various cybersecurity policy documents related to Cyber Strategy, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), Annual Campaign Orders, etc. Finally, the role involves organizing and recommending cybersecurity directives, doctrine, programs, regulations, and procedures for DODIN operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum six years of experience as a Cyberspace Analyst or a related functional area.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma.
  • Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level II Certification, CSSP Incident Responder, or CSSP Infrastructure Support.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of cyberspace operations and mission assurance related subject matter.
  • Experience facilitating DOD working groups and participating in DOD component level tabletop exercises.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing updates and briefs orally and in writing to senior leadership concerning.
  • Knowledge of cloud security operations and DOD enterprise cloud environment.
